With soccer fields, community gardens, fishing ponds and plenty of benches for tired feet, the West Highlands Park is a favourite spot for many residents. In 2016, the City of Kamloops allocated more than $927,000 generated from Cascades Casino Kamloops and Chances Kamloops to renovations on the park's community centre, including the installation of a solar panel array, making it the largest solar project in the history of Kamloops.
