Marlon and Jennifer Camposagrado had a good feeling, so they decided to buy an extra lottery ticket. That extra ticket ended up scoring the Camposagrado’s $1 million from the February 8, 2025 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“I was at home and when I scanned the Lotto! App, I thought it said $1,000,” recalled Marlon of the moment he learned they won. “I was just so happy seeing that number I decided to go to London Drugs to cash out. When I got there the lady said, ‘No, wait a minute let me call someone!’ That’s when I found out and I called Jennifer right away.”
Jennifer didn’t believe Marlon at first when he shared the news. “I was so shocked; I started crying happy tears at first and then needed a moment to take it in!”
She recalls how she needed to shake off her shock quickly, as she still needed to go into work. Both she and Marlon shared that, for them, life is about showing up for others and that they are very dedicated to their work.
The Vancouver couple plan to save for their retirement and with a milestone birthday coming up, they plan to celebrate in a “big way.” They also plan to visit their family in the Philippines.
“Happy! It’s just a beautiful experience for us!” said Jennifer.
The pair purchased and validated the winning ticket at London Drugs on Victoria Drive and 41st Avenue in Vancouver.
