Greater Victoria

BCLC is proud to give back to the citizens of B.C. and help communities grow. Revenue generated by gambling goes back to the Province of B.C. and is distributed in a variety of ways, including to communities through Host Local Government payments and the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program.

In 2023/24, Elements Casino Victoria contributed to the View Royal community and economy in a variety of ways. Here are just a few.

Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre

West Shore Parks & Recreation Society

In 2022, the Town of View Royal allocated a share of its funds it received for hosting Elements Casino Victoria to a range of community initiatives. The West Shore Parks & Recreation Society received $750,000 to support various programs, services and facilities, including a contribution to the new skate park at the Juan de Fuca lower park.  

This funding supported recreation opportunities to people in the community of all ages and abilities.

Victoria Hospitals Foundation

BCLC is committed to creating a positive impact in Greater Victoria. BCLC was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation Visions Gala in 2023. Together with other sponsors and donors, the event raised an incredible $2.5 million to fund an advanced MRI Machine for our hospitals. BCLC has supported the Victoria Hospitals Foundation since 1991 and Visions since 2016.

Did you know?

In 2023, Elements Casino Victoria supported the community through donations to 17 local organizations, including the Goldstream Food Bank, Island Kids Cancer Association and Our Place Society.
