A Lotto Max ticket purchased in Surrey for the May 9, 2025 draw matched all seven winning numbers to win the $80 million jackpot, something that has never happened in B.C.
The seven winning numbers were 6, 10, 16, 17, 30, 38, and 48.
The historic win marks the first time a B.C. player(s) has won the $80 million jackpot since the Lotto Max jackpot cap was increased to $80 million in September 2024. Previously, the largest lottery prize ever won in B.C. was $70 million, won in September 2021.
The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners’ name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize.
The odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play.
All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize.
So far in 2025, B.C. lottery players redeemed more than $17 million in winnings from Lotto Max.
