Salena Boehm will soon be embarking on her dream African adventure after winning a $100,000 Bingo Grand Scratch & Win prize.
The Williams Lake resident was at Save-On-Foods on Oliver Street when she opted to purchase the ticket and validated it shortly thereafter with a self-scanner.
“I thought the machine was broken,” Boehm said. “My mother was there with me and had to tell me it was real because it took me a while to process!”
To celebrate her win, Boehm took her parents for dinner where they discussed her dream trip, which is soon to become a reality, thanks to her win. In addition to the vacation, Boehm plans to pay off her home and will spoil her dog with a new life jacket to use on their kayaking adventures.
