Francisc Menyhart drove away with more than a full tank of gas after learning he won $1 million from the December 30, 2023 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“I couldn’t believe it,” recalled Menyhart of the moment he realized he won, after checking his ticket at the Shell station on Pitt River Road in Port Coquitlam. “The attendant had to come around and show me how much I won!”
The Port Coquitlam resident was most excited to share the news with his daughter. “She was shocked as well!”
Menyhart is taking some time to let the news sink in before making any plans, but he feels thankful to leave something for his children.
“I am still in shock and still can’t understand or believe it!”
Menyhart purchased the winning ticket at Pharmachoice on Shaughnessy Street in Port Coquitlam.
