“I Had Goosebumps!”: Victoria Couple Win $500K from Scratch & Win

Truong Thai and Tram Nguyen enjoy playing Scratch & Win tickets together and always buy two tickets of the same game. When Ngyuen discovered that they won the top prize of $500,000 from a $10 Cash Blast Scratch & Win, she immediately called Thai to pick her up from work. 

“I was at home and she said, ‘Pick me up, I can’t walk!’” recalled Thai. “I picked her up and brought the ticket home. I had goosebumps, my jaw was wide open.” 

The Victoria couple used the BCLC Lotto! App to check its ticket.

Thai and Nguyen are celebrating their win with family and plan to visit California to see Little Saigon. 

On how it feels to win $500,000? 

“It feels special!” said Ngyuen. 

The couple purchased its winning ticket at the lotto kiosk at Hillside Centre in Victoria.
