Magdalena Gonzales screamed the moment she learned that she matched 4/4 Extra numbers from the November 26, 2024 Lotto Max draw, netting a $500,000 prize.
“I was at home, and I checked my ticket using the BCLC Lotto! App,” recalled Gonzales of the moment she realized she won. “I shouted loudly and went downstairs to tell my daughter. She came out and thought she may have to take me to the hospital.”
The White Rock resident shared the news first with her daughter and grandson. “We live together. My daughter was so excited, yelling and jumping, wanting to make sure I had the ticket and didn’t lose it.”
Gonzales is taking some time to decide what’s next but plans to celebrate with her family.
Gonzales purchased the winning ticket at Red Rooster Food Store on Stayte Road in White Rock.
