“This Can’t be Real!”: Vancouver Island Couple Score $500,000 from Extra

Allen and Donna Michele Piatkowski were relaxing at home when Michele checked their lottery ticket using the BCLC Lotto! App. Michele immediately shared with Allen that they won a whopping $500,000, by matching 4/4 Extra numbers from the November 16, 2024 Lotto 6/49 draw.

“I was in disbelief,” recalled Allen of the moment Michele shared the exciting news. “When I walked up to Michele and glanced at her phone, I was just in shock!” 

The Youbou couple – who enjoy sporting events and the outdoors – is taking some time to think through its retirement investment plans. 

On how it feels to win? 

“This can’t be real!” said Michele. 

The Piatkowski’s purchased the winning ticket at Youbou General Store on Youbou Road in Youbou on Vancouver Island.
