Brent Holm was visiting B.C. and went back home with more than he bargained for, after learning he won the $500,000 Extra prize from the January 2, 2024 Lotto Max draw.
“I was at the purchase location when I found out I won,” recalled Holm. “I had scanned a few tickets and tried to keep quiet while I was in the store!”
While Holm kept the news of his win a secret at the time of the prize claim, the secret is out now.
The Lethbridge, Alberta resident plans to get new tires for his truck and looks forward to traveling more.
“I have a light mindset. This gives me a bit more room to spend on things!”
Holm purchased and validated the winning ticket at the Esso gas station on SW Marine Drive and 70th Avenue in Vancouver.
