Burnaby Resident Travelling to Asia After Scoring $500,000 Playing Extra

Wai Lim Wong had a great start to his day when he discovered that he matched 4/4 Extra numbers from the December 14, 2024 Lotto 6/49 draw, scoring him $500,000.  

“I was at home and checked my ticket after breakfast,” recalled Wong of the moment he learned he won the lottery. “I used the [BCLC Lotto!] app on my phone. I was shocked and left speechless.” 

The Burnaby resident first shared the news with his sister. “She was questioning me!”

Wong plans to enjoy a trip to Asia this summer.

Wong purchased the winning ticket at Petro Canada on Austin Avenue and Blue Mountain Street in Coquitlam.
