John Pagador immediately rushed home after learning he won a $1-million Maxmillions prize from the April 12, 2024 Lotto Max draw to share the news with his wife.
“I was inside the car when I scanned the ticket [using the BCLC Lotto! App],” recalled Pagador of the moment he realized he won the lottery. “The first thing I said was, ‘Thank you, Lord!’”
The Surrey resident immediately texted his wife to share his exciting news but when she didn’t reply he rushed home. “I woke her up and said, ‘Look at my text!’ She was so surprised she kept smiling.”
Pagador is taking some time to decide what’s next. “I want to invest in my future.”
