Charles Rose’s grocery shop took a surprising turn when he found out he won a $500,000 prize from the January 2, 2025 Daily Grand draw.

“I was in Save-On-Foods,” recalled Rose of the moment he realized he won. “I checked my ticket, and the retailer freaked out!” 

The New Westminster resident was most excited to share the news with his children. 

To celebrate his win, Rose plans to take a train trip across Canada.
