Ashley Frasca was at home, scanning some of her tickets on the BCLC Lotto! App, when she realized that the Lotto Max ticket she bought for the August 12, 2025 draw on PlayNow.com had won a $500,000 Extra prize.
“I let it sink in for a moment,” recalled Frasca of the moment she realized she won. “I thought, ‘I don’t think this is real.’ It prompted me to drive into the BCLC office.”
The Vancouver resident first shared the news with her fiancé, who also thought the win “didn’t seem real.”
Frasca doesn’t have any immediate plans but said she had some “planning and dreaming to do.”
