Victoria Resident Scores $500,000 Playing Extra

Judith Hunter froze up in the drugstore, once she learned that she matched 4/4 Extra numbers from the November 23, 2024 Lotto 6/49 draw, scoring her $500,000.  

“I was at Shoppers Drug Mart,” recalled Hunter of the moment she realized she won. “The thought that came into my mind was that this wasn’t real! It must be a mistake!” 

The Victoria resident first shared the news with her daughter. “I was just so shocked!” 

Hunter plans to have a “lovely dinner with family” to celebrate her win. 

On how it feels to win? 

“I have gratitude!”  

Hunter purchased the winning ticket at Walmart on Saanich Road and Oak Street in Victoria.
