Wing Wah C. was confused and thought he was misreading his tablet, after learning that he won $2 million from the July 4, 2026 BC/49 draw.
“On my tablet, I checked [the ticket] using the BCLC Lotto! App,” recalled Wing Wah. “The first thing that came to my mind was maybe the tablet was wrong. Usually I see $1 or $10, so to see $2 million was new!”
The Burnaby resident first shared the news of his win with his wife. “She was very excited!’
Wing Wah plans to use his winnings to buy a new house. “I’m really excited for more space for my family.”

“It still feels like I’m dreaming. It doesn’t feel real.”
The winning ticket was purchased at PriceSmart Foods on Austin Road in Burnaby.
