Brenda B. was speechless after receiving a voicemail notifying her that she won the grand prize draw of $300,000 after participating in BCLC’s Jack up the Jackpot contest at Cascades Casino Delta.
The Richmond resident was at work when BCLC phoned and left a voicemail message notifying her that her name had been drawn on March 24, 2026, as the contest’s grand prize winner, and it wasn’t until later that night that she listened to the message and discovered that she won.
“I went, ‘What? Is this real? Oh my gosh!’”, recalled Brenda. “Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I didn’t believe it!”
Once the reality of the win started to set in, Brenda shared the news with her daughter.
“She was super excited for me!”
Brenda has a few immediate plans for her win, including “splurging” on an upcoming annual trip to Las Vegas with her friends, where she plans to “treat them to a nice meal.”
“We go to Vegas together every year and I’m excited to celebrate with them and have a little extra spending money!”
Apart from her vacation, Brenda is most looking forward to reaching her retirement goals, thanks to her win.
“People have been asking me when I’m going to retire and it’s such a relief to now be able to do that soon.”

From February 9 - March 23, 2026, BCLC Encore Rewards members had the chance to Jack Up The Jackpot by playing at any B.C. casino using their Encore Rewards card, contributing to the final Grand Prize jackpot that Brenda won. Players earned between one and five entries into the grand prize draw per visit, depending on their Encore Rewards membership level.
