Dylan S. was outside a gas station when he decided to check his lottery ticket on his phone. He was in complete shock, once he realized that he won a $100,000 MAXPLUS prize from the October 13, 2026 Lotto Max draw.
“I scanned [the ticket on the BCLC Lotto! App] and freaked out,” recalled the Shawnigan Lake resident. “I scanned it a few times and then went inside the gas station to double check.”
Dylan first shared the news with close friends and family. “They are happy for me and half of them didn’t believe me. My dad said I should make sure it’s not $100.”
With his windfall, he plans to put the money toward a down payment on a home.
On how it feels to win?
“I’m super excited. Before I was happy to just win a free play!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Mason’s Store on Renfrew Road in Lake Shawnigan.
