A regular day grocery shopping for Thomas D. turned out to be anything but, after learning that he won a $100,000 MAXPLUS prize from the October 13, 2026 Lotto Max draw.
“I self-scanned and then the employee scanned [the ticket],” recalled Thomas of the moment he realized he won. “I am buying a new car which I picked out the day before I won and thought, ‘hey, my car is free!’”
The Prince George resident first shared the news with his friend Daryl, who is helping him with the purchase of the car.
On how it feels to win?
“Exhilarating. A dream come true. I’m buying a car and being happy, enjoying life.”
The winning ticket was purchased and validated at Save-On-Foods at Spruceland Mall on Centra Street West in Prince George.
