Linda S. was shopping for groceries and decided to check her lottery tickets. While at most expecting a free play, she was pleasantly surprised to learn she won $76,199.40, after matching five out of six numbers plus the bonus from the April 8, 2026 Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw.
“I passed my tickets to the retailer,” recalled Linda, of the moment she learned she won. “She told me she couldn’t cash the ticket since it was too much. I thought it was $1,000 and was told it was much more. She motioned for me to go behind the terminal to show me what I had won. I screamed and hugged her, it was amazing.”
The Quesnel resident was excited to share the news with her husband. “He didn’t believe me!”
Linda plans to pay off her mortgage and complete some home renovations.
