Harold H. is revved up to soon be embarking on a motorcycle trip across Canada with his grandson after clutching a $500,000 Extra prize from the March 11, 2026 Lotto 6/49 draw.
The Valemount resident was at an IDA Pharmacy when he opted to check his ticket with a self-scanner and was at a loss for words after discovering he matched 4/4 Extra numbers.
“I was kind of all over the place thinking, ‘Is this real?’” he recalled. “I had the cashier at the IDA double-check it for me. I was speechless!”
Harold couldn’t wait to share the news of his win with his grandson, who was equally as shocked by the news.
“He was flabbergasted!”
Apart from a wheelie awesome motorcycle trip with his grandson, Harold can’t wait to be “officially retired” thanks to his win.
“Touring across Canada can now be a reality and my retirement is in place.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on Swift Creek Road in Valemount.
