Alternative text

Text used to describe an image, providing accessibility to those using a screen reader (such as people with impaired vision).

Asset

Content that is stored digitally, including images, photos, videos, spreadsheets, or slide decks, files containing text, and more.

Category

The division and organization of information based on common themes. These appear as folders in which reports and articles are separated by.

Component

The basic building blocks of a page. They are individually added and each have different functions and features.

Configure

To set the options and settings within a component to reach a desired output.

Content author

The person building and editing a page using components on AEM.

Content fragment

Files that exist to hold article body text. They must be created before an article page can be authored, and are sources of content that can be re-used or edited without affecting an article page.

Content owner

A person who reviews and approves requests sent in by authors after pages are built. Once the page has been checked, the reviewer then publishes the page and it goes live.

CTA

Abbreviation for Call to Action. This is a general term describing labelled buttons suggesting that users can interact with them.

DAM

Abbreviation for Digital Asset Management, the repository for all assets hosted on the BCLC corporate site.

Dialogue Box

The window in which authors can configure components in.

Experience fragment

A set pattern used to replicate components with pre-existing information on multiple pages.

External link

A link leading to a URL outside of the current BCLC corporate site.

File name / folder name

An identifier for files and folders automatically generated by AEM, based on the Title entered by the creator of the file or folder.

Internal link

A link leading to a different page within the current BCLC corporate site.

Publish

The action of making content publicly available in an environment.

Selection Dialog

A window that opens when configuring a specific field within a component (ie. Links) requiring finding files or pages from the DAM.

Tag

A keyword or term assigned to an article. It offers a way to navigate to the article, and also browse other articles related to the same topic.

Title

The name of a file or folder. This is assigned by the creator but still follows a set of guidelines.
