BCLC and its vendor, Evolution Gaming, will be developing a new interactive casino experience called Live Casino on PlayNow.com that will enhance British Columbians’ overall entertainment experience as well as create new, local jobs in the province.
Live Casino is a live table game hosted by a live dealer, which can be seen by a player via a live video streaming link. Live Casino is an innovative online game that is growing in popularity in places such as Europe. With its introduction on PlayNow.com, Live Casino will be the first game of its kind ever offered on a regulated Canadian gambling website.
In order to support this new offering on PlayNow.com, Evolution Gaming will develop and operate their Canadian Live Casino studio facility in the Metro Vancouver area. Once launched, the studio will initially create more than 50 new jobs. Evolution Gaming estimates over time it will create and recruit up to 170 jobs in the Metro Vancouver area as the Live Casino game offering expands across Canada and in different languages.
The initial rollout of Live Casino will feature 10 tables offering Blackjack; Baccarat; Baccarat eSqueeze; and two types of Roulette on desktop and mobile devices for 16 hours a day.
Through PlayNow.com, BCLC offers socially responsible gambling entertainment while generating income to benefit all British Columbians. Each year, proceeds from BCLC games help fund important health, education and community programs across B.C.
