Our Role
As the Crown corporation responsible for conducting and managing gambling in British Columbia, BCLC owns and operates PlayNow, the province's only legal online gambling platform.
Through PlayNow, players can access casino games, purchase lottery products and place sports bets in a secure environment designed to protect player information, ensure fair play and support informed gambling choices.
Unlike illegal gambling websites, PlayNow is subject to B.C.'s regulatory requirements and player protection standards. Revenue generated through PlayNow stays in British Columbia, helping fund health care, education and community programs and services that benefit all British Columbians.
