BCLC is proud to give back to the citizens of B.C. and help communities grow. Revenue generated by gambling goes back to the Province of B.C. and is distributed in a variety of ways, including to communities through Host Local Government payments and the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program.

In 2024/25, Chances Kelowna and Playtime Casino Kelowna contributed to the Kelowna community and economy in a variety of ways. Here are just a few.

Kelowna Community Benefits

In 2024, Chances Kelowna supported a wide range of community programs, events, and non-profit organizations through sponsorships, donations, and partnerships. Notable beneficiaries included the Central Okanagan Food Bank, Kelowna Women’s Shelter, JoeAnna’s House, the KGH Foundation, and the Kelowna Gospel Mission, all providing vital services in the region.

Support also extended to recreational and cultural initiatives such as Parks Alive!, Arts on the Avenue, and the Kelowna Falcons, along with health and wellness organizations like Cops for Kids, COHA – Central Okanagan Hospice Association, and Third Space.

Did you know?

Last year, Playtime Kelowna participated in the Easter Seals ‘Drop Zone’ charity event, raising a total of $5,000 for the cause. The event is an adrenaline-pumping fundraising adventure that encourages people to get out of their comfort zones and face their fears by rappelling from the top of a towering high-rise building – all in support of Canadians living with disabilities.
