BCLC is proud to give back to the citizens of B.C. and help communities grow. Revenue generated by gambling goes back to the Province of B.C. and is distributed in a variety of ways, including to communities through Host Local Government payments and the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program.

In 2024/25, Treasure Cove Casino contributed to the Prince George community and economy in a variety of ways. Here are just a few.

Community benefits

In 2024, the City of Prince George used its share of provincial gambling revenue to support key infrastructure projects, including the repair of the Ferguson Lake Road bridge, which was damaged by flooding and required immediate closure and reconstruction.

Other projects funded by gambling revenue included various community infrastructure and service improvements.

Lhiedli T’enneh Kodiaks Game

BCLC sponsored the Lheidli T’enneh Kodiaks during the 2024 Prince George Kodiaks season to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As part of their ongoing partnership with the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, the team hosted a special game on September 28 against the Kamloops Broncos at Masich Place Stadium and welcomed the Okanagan Sun on September 30. The Kodiaks’ collaboration with the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation includes initiatives that support Indigenous youth participation in football and ongoing efforts to promote reconciliation through sport.

Did you know?

In 2024, Treasure Cove Casino & Bingo supported a variety of local organizations and events through donations, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts. Beneficiaries included the Prince George Spruce Kings, Prince George Cougars, Kodiaks Football, Special Olympics, St. Vincent de Paul, the Hospice Society, the SPCA, and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, among others.
