Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society

In 2023, the City of Williams Lake allocated $500,000 of its share of provincial gambling revenue for hosting Chances Signal Point to fund several initiatives in the community. One of those was the Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society for its Waste Wise and Water Wise programs. Water Wise works within schools and the community to educate and encourage water conservation and preserving watershed health.

Waste Wise works to educate and show how simple, easy, everyday actions can make a difference in reducing waste. They provide expertise and resources to start school-wide composting and gardening.
