BCLC is pleased to welcome Marie-Noëlle Savoie as its new Vice President of Legal, Compliance and Security and Chief Compliance Officer.
Savoie, who will be based out of BCLC’s Vancouver office, starts in the role effective June 29, 2020.
Savoie comes to BCLC from Raymond James Ltd., where she was most recently its Vice President of Private Client Group Compliance as well as the Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Risk Officer of Raymond James Trust (Canada).
With several years of operational experience in compliance, privacy, anti-money laundering and risk management in regulated industries, Savoie applies a strategic and solutions-oriented leadership style to the workplace.
An experienced lawyer, Savoie was called to the bar in Quebec in 2009 after obtaining her Bachelor of Laws at the Université de Montréal in 2008. She worked in litigation representing banks at a Quebec law firm from 2008 to 2010, for Quebec’s financial regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers from 2010 to 2013 and as compliance and senior legal counsel in the securities and trust industries from 2013 to 2020.
The addition of Savoie fulfills BCLC’s Executive team. Once two, recently hired Vice Presidents re-locate to Kamloops later in 2020, half of BCLC’s Executive team will work from BCLC’s head office in Kamloops, and the other half will work from our office in Vancouver. Interim President and CEO Greg Moore continues to divide his time between both offices.
