Seble G. was picking up ice cream from the gas station, when she decided to check her lottery ticket. It turns out she had something even sweeter than ice cream, after learning that she won $1 million from the September 9, 2026 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“I was at a gas station picking up ice cream,” recalled Seble. “I had to check again to confirm the win, I didn’t believe it! I forgot why I was even in the store.”
After confirming her win using the self-scanner, the Vancouver resident called her mom to share the news.
“She was happy for me!”
Seble plans to celebrate by having dinner with her family.
With her winnings, Seble plans to help her family. “I can plan for the next few years and I can plan for family. This also allows me to feel closer to buying a home.”
On how it feels to win?
“It’s very unreal. I feel blessed.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Canco on Hot Springs Road in Agassiz.
