Wendy L. was at home and noticed a Scratch & Win ticket hiding in her pocket. After scratching and scanning the ticket using the BCLC Lotto! Mobile App, Wendy immediately called her daughter, after realizing she won $200,000 from $10 Holiday Cash, the ticket’s Top Prize.
“I called my daughter to show her and she was confused why I was calling her to the bathroom,” recalled Wendy of the moment she realized she won. “I showed her the app as soon as she opened the door!”
The Smithers resident was most excited to share the news with her daughter and husband. “They were both really shocked and happy!”
Wendy shared she plans to buy a car; specifically, a Toyota Corolla.
On how it feels to win?
“Exciting and shocking!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Red Apple on Queen Street in Smithers.
