Wing S. couldn’t believe what she was seeing when she scanned her lottery ticket and learned she had won $100,000.
“When I scanned the ticket I thought, did I read that right?” Wing says. She checked the ticket again on the self-scanner before asking the lottery retailer to confirm the win.
The Richmond resident says she was taking her son for a haircut when she decided to stop at a nearby lottery booth at Landsdowne Centre to buy a ticket. She purchased a MAX PLUS ticket along with a LOTTO MAX ticket for the Friday, October 2 draw.
“This was not expected at all,” Wing says.
MAXPLUS is an additional prize draw feature on LOTTO MAX that offers multiple $100,000 cash prizes, with the number of prizes increasing based on the size of the jackpot.
When asked how it feels to win, Wing said the prize still feels unexpected but it may make room for something special, including a spring break holiday for her kids.
