Understanding Templates

Templates contain pre-defined components that should exist on a page. When adding a new page, a template must be chosen based on the level and type of page being added. More information about templates can be found below. The process of choosing a template can be found in the section “Adding a page” and “Adding an Article Page”.

Types of Templates

Pages

Selecting a page template depends on the level of page you are adding, paying attention to if it falls under a specific section of the site as defined in the list below:

  • Page – Level 1 – Overview
  • Page – Level 2 – Community Template
    Used only for Communities within the “Where the money goes” section of the site
  • Page – Level 2 – FAQs
    Used only for Customer Support FAQ Pages)
  • Page – Level 2 – Generic
  • Page – Level 3 – Generic
  • Page – Level 4 – Generic
  • Page – Generic (No Placeholders)
    Should generally not be used, contains no placeholders

Articles

Selecting an article template is as simple as choosing the template name that corresponds to the category of article you are adding.

  • Article - Winners
