BCLC is proud to give back to the citizens of B.C. and help communities grow. Revenue generated by gambling goes back to the Province of B.C. and is distributed in a variety of ways, including to communities through Host Local Government payments and the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program.

In 2023/24, Chances Kelowna and Playtime Casino Kelowna contributed to the Kelowna community and economy in a variety of ways. Here are just a few.

Kelowna RCMP

Kelowna's Community Safety Unit Initiatives

Kelowna’s Community Safety Unit received funds to support processes for restorative justice, used as an alternative to court for RCMP-referred minor offense firsttime youth offenders, as well as the Kelowna Integrated Court.

The Kelowna Integrated Court aims to improve access to health, social, and economic services for offenders, improve public safety, and hold offenders accountable for their actions in a timely manner. Funds also supported additional RCMP members.

Giving back to Kelowna

Playtime Casino Kelowna raised $2,695 during their 2024 Super Bowl festivities to support KidSport BC. KidSport supports children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees. Through increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada.

Did you know?

Chances Casino Kelowna and its staff support, volunteer, and donate to more than two dozen community focused organizations such as: Central Okanagan Food Bank, Central Okanagan Hospice, Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Paws It Forward Dog Rescue, Mamas for Mamas, United Way, Seniors Outreach Society, and multiple minor league sports teams.
