BCLC is proud to give back to the citizens of B.C. and help communities grow. Revenue generated by gambling goes back to the Province of B.C. and is distributed in a variety of ways, including to communities through Host Local Government payments and the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program.

In 2024/25, Cascades Casino Penticton contributed to the Penticton community and economy in a variety of ways. Here are just a few.

Community Parks and Recreation Areas

In 2024, the City of Penticton allocated a portion of its provincial gambling revenue to support capital improvements focused on outdoor recreation and active transportation. This included:

  • $107,935 for dog park enhancements.
  • $12,025 for bike lane signage.

For 2025, planned capital investments include continued dog park improvements, additional bike lane signage, and the installation of Mobi Mats to improve beach accessibility.

Community Gaming Grants

Last year, 58 not-for-profit organizations in Penticton received Community Gaming Grants, totalling $1.80 million. This funding supports organizations in the human and social services sector, public safety, sports, arts and culture, and parent advisory councils.

Did you know?

In March, the team at Cascades Casino Penticton sponsored the United Way Drive-Thru Breakfast, which raised $18,000. All funds collected were directed to local United Way BC initiatives, including the United for BC Wildfire Recovery Fund, United for BC Flood Response, and United for Ukraine.
