An ordinary day purchasing groceries turned out extraordinary for Anthony S., after learning that he won a $500,000 Extra prize from the August 21, 2026 Lotto Max draw.
“I was inside the grocery store,” recalled Anthony. “I was shocked and let the retailer know that I thought I won something, after I validated in the self-scanner.”
The Kamloops resident was most excited to share the news with his husband. “He was in disbelief!”
Anthony plans to celebrate by going for dinner with his kids and is looking forward to travelling this fall. He also shared that he plans to do some special activities with his family and give back to the community.
