Noah F. was at home and enjoying a Saturday morning coffee when he decided to check his lottery ticket. When he learned he won a $500,000 Extra prize from the October 16, 2026 Lotto Max draw, he was in complete disbelief.
After he checked his ticket on the BCLC Lotto! Mobile App, the Kamloops resident shared the news with his fiancée.
“She was shocked and couldn’t believe it either,” recalled Noah. “She rescanned it on my app to make sure too!”
Noah doesn’t have any immediate plans for his windfall but shared he is getting married next year and mentioned using some of his winnings towards a honeymoon.
On how it feels to win?
“Shock, disbelief, excitement, all the adjectives! Being younger and building the foundation for the future is huge.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Safeway on Fortune Drive in Kamloops.
