Victoria Gaming Facility Project | BCLC
BCLC identified a marketplace opportunity for an additional gaming facility in Greater Victoria that would complement the Elements Casino Victoria located in View Royal. In 2015, BCLC initiated an Expression of Interest process to determine interest among six local governments in the region.
The City of Victoria was originally selected by BCLC as its preferred host local government (HLG) for a potential gambling facility. On January 17, 2019, the City chose to indefinitely postpone any decision indicating an interest in hosting a casino.
BCLC is currently evaluating options and potential next steps for Greater Victoria.
