Mail Prize Claims

If you won a prize up to $24,999.99, you can claim it by mailing your winning ticket to BCLC. Once your claim has been processed, winnings will be issued by cheque and mailed to you.

Check that your ticket is valid and mail it before it expires! Lottery and PROLINE tickets are valid for one year after the draw date or event. Scratch & Win tickets are valid until the expiration date printed on the back of the ticket.

When mailing tickets through Canada Post or other couriers, we recommend using Registered Mail to track your ticket. All risks of mailed claims remain with the ticket owner.

For Registered Mail, send your claim to:

BCLC Head Office

74 West Seymour Street
Kamloops, BC

V2C 1E2

For regular mail (without tracking), send your claim to:

BCLC

P.O. Box 1080

Kamloops, BC

B2C 6H2

How and when will I receive my prize?

Mail claims typically take longer to be processed due to delivery times and Canada Post/courier schedules. For a quicker payout, we recommend submitting an online prize claim.

When your claim arrives at BCLC, our team will process it and may contact you if additional information is required. Once your claim is processed, you can expect to receive your prize cheque within 15 business days.

What we'll need for your mail claim:

Signed winning ticket

Sign your winning ticket, where indicated, and fill out all the information on the back. Ensure that your printed name and signature match the identification you will be including in your claim.

Government-issued ID (Photocopy only)

Include a photocopy of one valid, government-issued, photo ID. Cover any identifying numbers (e.g., Driver’s License Number) or personal information that is not required for the claim, such as your height, weight, or eye and hair colour. View Accepted IDs

Completed Mail Prize Claim form

If your prize is between $2,000.01 and $24,999.99, please print, complete, and sign the Mail Prize Claim form. Prizes of $2,000 or under do not require a Mail Prize Claim form.

Tips for mail claims:

Keep a copy of your winning ticket

For your records, we recommend making copies or taking photos of the front and back of your ticket.

Track your mail

When mailing tickets through Canada Post or other couriers, we recommend using Registered Mail to track your ticket. All risks of mailed claims remain with the ticket owner.
