Introducing Online Prize Claims

BCLC is excited to introduce our new Online Prize Claim process, allowing you to claim winning lottery tickets that are purchased in British Columbia between the value of $200 to $24,999.99.

You will get two options on how you receive your payment. You can choose INTERAC E-Transfer or payment via cheque.

Eligibility Criteria:

There are some things you should know before initiating a Online Prize Claim:

Prize amounts of $200 to $24,999.99

Online Prize Claim allows you to claim winning lottery tickets that are purchased in British Columbia between the value of $200 to $24,999.99.

If you have won under $200 all retailers who sell lottery tickets in BC can pay up to $2000. 

ID requirements

Government issued ID is required to claim a prize via our Online Prize Claim process. To find a list of accepted ID please see the “Accepted ID” section on the How to claim a prize page.

Smartphone, Computer, and internet access

Smartphones are acceptable. Used to take clear, high-resolution scans or photos of your ticket in addition to reading and signing of electronic declaration forms when requested. Note the file upload has a 4MB limit.

Prize Claim Processing & Payment

Prize Claim Processing generally takes 1 – 3 days from the time you submit your claim. Once approved payment will depend on the method you choose generally taking 1 - 21 days.

  • INTERAC E-Transfer payments generally take 24 - 72 hours from claim approval.
  • Cheque payments will be sent via Canada post and will generally take 7 - 21 days to arrive.
