Online Prize Claims

If your prize is between $200 and $24,999.99, you can submit an online claim in just a few minutes.

Prizes under $200 can be claimed in person, while prizes of $25,000 or more must be claimed at our BCLC offices by appointment.

How and when will I receive my prize?

Once your claim is processed, choose how you’d like to receive your prize:

  • Interac e-Transfer — Our fastest option. Once processed, transfers are typically completed within 1 to 3 days.
  • Mailed cheque — Sent via Canada Post and may take 7 to 21 days to arrive.

What you'll need for your online claim:

Signed winning ticket

Sign your winning ticket, where indicated, and fill out all the information on the back. Ensure that your printed name and signature match the identification you will be including in your claim.

Government-issued ID

One piece of valid, government-issued photo ID is required for every prize claim. This ensures that prizes are paid out to the rightful ticket owner(s) or Group Trustee. View Accepted IDs

Smartphone or computer with internet access

Make sure you have a device that can read and sign electronic forms, and has a camera or supports document uploads. You will be asked to upload high-resolution photos or coloured scans of your winning ticket and ID.

Got a group claim of $10,000 or more?

What IDs are accepted?


ID requirements

One piece of valid, government-issued identification is required for prize claims. The ID must include:

  • Photograph that adequately depicts the individual presenting the identification
  • Date of Birth
  • Signature
  • Expiry date

  • Driver's License
  • B.C. Identity Card (BCID) 
  • B.C. Services Card 
  • Canadian or international passport 
  • Canadian permanent resident card 
  • Secure Certificate of Indian Status card, issued by the Government of Canada 
  • Laminated membership cards issued by First Nations, Metis or Inuit bands 

  • Paper interim licenses 
  • Pictures or copies of your ID (for in-person claims)
  • Credit cards 
  • Student ID cards 
  • Membership cards such as a gym or shopping centre
