Claim in Person

Some wins are best handled in person—here’s where to claim.

Claim prizes in person

In-Person Prize Claims

There are three ways to claim a prize in person, depending on your prize amount and preferred payment method.

Each option has different limits, hours, and processing times, so choosing the right one can help make your claim smoother.

  • Lottery retailers offer quick, cash payouts for prizes up to $2,000, subject to each retailer’s payout policies and cash availability.
  • Regional Prize Payout (RPP) locations provide in-person claims for prizes up to $24,999.99, with payment by cash or cheque at the location’s discretion. Processing times and operating hours vary by prize amount and location. View RPP locations.
  • BCLC offices in Kamloops and Vancouver accept prize claims of any amount by appointment and are the only option for prizes of $25,000 or more.

What you'll need for an in-person claim:

Signed winning ticket

Sign your winning ticket, where indicated, and fill out all the information on the back. Ensure that your printed name and signature match the identification you will be presenting.

Government-issued ID

One piece of valid, government-issued photo ID is required for every prize claim. This ensures that prizes are paid out to the rightful ticket owner(s) or Group Trustee.

Got a group claim of $10,000 or more?

Make sure you have a Group Trustee and a completed Group Prize Agreement. Learn more about Group Claims.

Lottery Retailers

Prizes valued up to $2,000 can be claimed at lottery retailers.

Prizes are paid in cash and follow each retailer’s individual payout policies. For security reasons, many retailers limit the amount of cash they keep on hand, so prize payout availability may vary.

Lotto Express retailers are unable to pay prizes of any value.

Prefer another option? Prizes valued between $200 and $24,999.99 can be claimed online.

Regional Prize Payout Locations

Regional Prize Payout (RPP) locations across BC offer in-person prize claims for winnings up to $24,999.99.

Prizes can be paid in cash or cheque, at the location’s discretion. Processing times and hours of operation vary depending on your prize amount and chosen RPP location.
