Claim group prizes

Group Prize Claims

A group prize is when three or more people have ownership on a lottery ticket. Group prizes can be claimed according to our online, in-person, or mail prize claim procedures.

What you'll need for a group claim:

A designated Group Trustee

The Group Trustee is the purchaser and lawful holder of the ticket. They are responsible for managing the group’s ticket purchase(s), are authorized to receive payment in trust for the group members, and ensures that winnings are distributed according to each member’s prize entitlement.

Original ticket marked as a group ticket

The Group Trustee should clearly mark the original ticket to indicate it belongs to a group. For example, “In Trust” or “Group Ticket”. Only the original ticket can be used to claim a group prize. Group copies of the ticket will not be accepted.

Signed original winning ticket

The Group Trustee must sign the original winning ticket, where indicated, and fill out all the information on the back. Ensure that your printed name and signature match the identification you will be presenting.

Government-issued ID

One piece of valid, government-issued photo ID is required for every prize claim. This ensures that prizes are paid out to the rightful ticket owner(s) or Group Trustee. View Accepted IDs

Group claims of $10,000 or more require a Group Prize Agreement to be completed by all members entitled to a share of the prize won. Please include this form when submitting your claim online, in-person, or by mail.
