BCLC is proud to give back to the citizens of B.C. and help communities grow. Revenue generated by gambling goes back to the Province of B.C. and is distributed in a variety of ways, including to communities through Host Local Government payments and the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program.
In 2021/22, Chances Casino Terrace contributed to the Terrace community and economy in a variety of ways. Here are just a few.
Community Gaming Grants
Last year, the Province of B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants program supported not-for-profit organizations in Terrace with more than $552,000 distributed across 14 human and social services and sport-focused organizations. This funding supports the delivery of accessible and inclusive programs and services within the community.
Organizations in Terrace that received a Community Gaming Grant last year include the Terrace Hospice Society, Terrace & District Community Services Society and ‘Ksan House Society.
Gambling Revenue in Terrace
In 2018, the City of Terrace allocated a share of its provincial gambling revenue to a new fire truck for the community. This purchase will enhance the safety and security of residents for years to come.
