Task - Finding photos and videos

This pattern helps users find BCLC digital assets such as photos and video.

Use Cases

When to use

Provide access to photos and videos on pages where a user might be looking for them or expect to find them, such as the media section. In this example, it could also be relevant to the user's main task, like finding specific information on an article and then looking for images to pair with it after if they work for a news company.

When not to use

Do not use this pattern when the user is involved in a focused task or page that is unrelated or would not normally require them to obtain professional media assets.

Tips

State key information at the top of the page

Users that use BCLC's photo and video assets must abide by the Terms of Use. This information is important, so having this at the top of a page and visible helps users understand the requirements before they begin downloading and using assets.

Make it clear which assets they will find

State clearly which asset type users will find as they continue through the flow. Provide descriptions of each asset type so they know what photos or videos they can expect to find.
