A snowy stroll with his girlfriend resulted in an unexpected $50,000 Continents Scratch & Win prize for Taylor Starling after picking up a ticket during the walk.
The Kamloops resident purchased the ticket from Super Save Gas on Westsyde Road and was at home at his kitchen table when he checked it.
“I was in disbelief,” he recalled. “It’s so exciting and freeing!”
Starling has no immediate plans for his prize but looks forward to planning a trip in the near future.
